I'm diving into the world of the romanticist, his music, his diaries, analyzing, playing his compositions, putting my fingers into practice on his mastery piano works starting with his Nocturnes; while currently on his Etude no.1. I'm in love with it and inspires me to further know his world a piece after another. His melody sings (like an opera), such lyrical, poetic, wistful, simplistic, epic... if not for his works and aesthetics I would not have heard that a piano could have a soul, with such depth of feeling... and when a music is expressive, it is so powerful.
Forest trip
Over the past Thanksgiving, I flew out to Michigan to spend time to self-reflect in the woods and see my brother and his family. Here's a snap shot of the scene during the trip; drizzly, atmospheric, indefinite, mysterious. #natureavdenture

Oscar Predictions...
Every year the Academy Awards is around the corner at the start of the new year. In 2016, I had seen several movies that I would like to list those that were well deserved for the Oscar nominations in the Best Original Score category. The nominations aren't out yet (as of today Jan. 2nd) however my guess is the following: La La Land, Jackie, Lion, Moonlight, Arrival. Out of all my prediction goes to La La Land. With the movie being well received by the general public with both the story and music being memorable, it may very well be picked by the Academy. My second pick would go to Johan Johannsson's Arrival score...
